BACKGROUND: Dental pulp stem cells are neural crest-derived stem cells with strong proliferative and regenerative capabilities. Their biological properties make them attractive candidates for neuroregenerative therapies.

METHODS: The authors reviewed current research on dental pulp stem cells and their application in neurological repair and regeneration.

RESULTS: Studies demonstrated that dental pulp stem cells promote neuroprotection, angiogenesis, neuronal differentiation, and tissue repair. Their secreted neurotrophic factors may also support recovery following neurological injury.

CONCLUSIONS: This review showed that dental pulp stem cells possess significant neuroregenerative potential. Continued research may help advance their use in future neurological therapies.
