BACKGROUND: Human dental pulp stem/stromal cells have attracted considerable attention due to their accessibility, regenerative capacity, and ability to differentiate into multiple cell types.

METHODS: The author reviewed current clinical applications and translational studies involving DPSCs and stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHEDs).

RESULTS: Clinical and preclinical studies demonstrated promising outcomes in pulp regeneration, periodontal regeneration, ischemic stroke treatment, and craniofacial tissue repair. The review also summarized ongoing efforts to translate DPSC therapies into routine clinical practice.

CONCLUSIONS: This review highlights the growing clinical relevance of dental pulp stem/stromal cells and supports continued development of regenerative therapies utilizing these cells.
